As many of you have probably heard, Tatuaje has a limited release cigar this Halloween and for several Halloweens going forward. Of course, being the Tatuaje homer that I am, I had to have a box. This year Pete Johnson brings us the first of his Tatuaje Monster Series of cigars. The 2008 version is a Double Corona called The Frank. From what I understand, this is the regular Brown Label Tatuaje Taino blend but with a Broadleaf Wrapper instead of the usual Corojo. It sports a green band and comes in a Coffin box of 13 cigars. Only 13 retailers each year will get these cigars and each year the retailers are chosen by a lottery. This year my local, Empire Cigars was lucky enough to be chosen. Thanks Brad. I wish I knew you were in town and I wish you had time to meet up for a smoke. It would have been cool to meet you in person. The shop in Cary stays open late every Wednesday night so the regulars can hang out and watch a game, smoke some cigars and all. If you are ever out this way on a Wednesday let me know and we can meet up there for a smoke.

I just came back from a trip to South Korea about 2 weeks ago. Found about the Franks and was hesitant about purchasing it due to finance. Due to it’s rarity I just could not resist and lucky enough to order a box. Believe me Matt, I have called everywhere. After smoking it ( smoked three already) this goes in my top 5 list. This cigar rocks. I was going to brag about it to you, but you got it long before I heard about it. LOL.
